The look of interest on Dan's face faded to disappointment. "I see." |

"What do you see? What is her name?" |
|

"I wouldn't know. I've been closer to her than anyone in her life, as far as I know. She has no kind of relationship with her father. A crying shame, considering she's been without a mother, too. But she never told me her real name either. I always imagined if D.J. ever let down her guard enough with someone to reveal such a secret, that cold heart of hers might thaw a bit." |
